Welcome to the Muslims Community Center of South Dakota website
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful!
“O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female and have made you into nations and tribes for you to know one another. Truly, the noblest of you with God is the most pious. Truly, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. (Quran, 49:13)”
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmathullah Wa Barakatuhu (Peace Be Upon You)...
It is with the grace and mercy of Allah (God) that we share our faith with all those willing to learn about Islam and Muslims. We invite you to browse the pages of this web site and learn more about the Muslims Community Center of South Dakota.
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The Muslim Community Center of South Dakota condemns yesterday’s deadly shooting in San Bernardino, Calif. Our sincere condolences to the loved ones of those who were killed or injured. We can't find a better way to emphasize. The value of human life is more than what we read in the Quran “Because of that, We decreed upon them that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for spreading corruption in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves a soul – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.” [Quran 5:32]
We send our sincere and heartfelt prayers to those who were murdered and to their families. We ask God to shower his blessings and peace on all humanity.
The Muslim Community Center of South Dakota strongly condemns the terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of innocent people in Paris.
As Muslims, we always denounce all acts of violence, inhumanity and hatred done by any group of people toward other human beings. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, the first responders, and all the people of France.
No religion, including Islam, can justify such acts of injustice and terrorism. Our Quran teaches us that killing an innocent human being is like murdering the entire humanity. It says “Because of that, We decreed upon them that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for spreading corruption in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves a soul – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.” [Quran 5:32]
MCCSD stands in solidarity with the victims of terrorism everywhere in France, Syria, Iraq and all other places who are suffering from these same barbaric acts of violence committed under the name of Islam while Islam’s core message is to uphold the values of justice and peace.
“O who you believe, stand firmly for justice, and be witnesses for God, even if it is against yourselves or parents and relatives.” [Quran 4:135]
